Dr Elizabeth Jackson, MBBS, FRCPsych
I grew up in the North West of England and did my undergraduate medical training at St Bartholomew’s Medical School in London, graduating in 1992. I have a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in general adult, old age and rehabilitation psychiatry, I have 29 years working in psychiatry and I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
I work as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist in the Westminster Crisis and Home Treatment Team, a team I set up in 2004. I am approved by the Secretary of State under Section 12 as having specialist expertise and experience in the assessment and treatment of mental disorder.
I am actively involved in the Medical School at Imperial College, London, where I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Psychological Medicine. I am employed by Imperial College as an Undergraduate Academic Tutor, providing pastoral care, support and academic guidance to medical students.
I have previously trained as a General Practitioner (GP) in the north east of England and I have a special interest in the interface between physical and mental health.
